One
of the most vulnerable elements in any cash handling system is the cashiers
till. Cash that lies unprotected is a temptation to staff as well as to
thieves.
The Safe-Wise Money Minder - manufactured by Chubb, has been designed to protect this cash. Bolted under the counter in a horizontal or vertical position, money can easily be deposited through the door slot - the door need not be unlocked. The contents of the unit can be cleared at a convenient time and deposited in the main security safe.
For reasons of internal control, staff may not have access to the main safe. By reducing the amount of cash which is held in each till, the possibility of threats of violence to staff, is also reduced.
To be effective the system must be easy to use and well advertised.
Various sizes can be manufactured to suit different applications.
The Money Minder is not a safe and should not be used for after hours cash storage.
