The
Safe-Wise Dangerous Drug Cabinet -manufactured by Chubb, has been designed
to comply with Health Department regulations and will comfortably house the
quantity of scheduled drugs normally found in retail Chemist's shops,
Doctor's surgeries, etc. Safe-Wise cabinets can also be manufactured
to special sizes on request.
Health Department regulations require the cabinet to be firmly secured to the premises in which it is located. Ideally, attachment should be to a concrete wall by terrier bolts. When attachment to a lighter structure is unavoidable, the use of coach-bolts in conjunction with a backing plate is recommended.
The cabinet has a body of 4 mm steel plate, greatly strengthened by a heavy steel door frame designed to resist lever attacks.
Four attaching holes are provided in the back of the cabinet. The door is of 10 mm (l/2 ") steel, fully rebated on all sides and is secured by a 6 lever key lock. The bolt is protected against a drilling attack by an angled hard-plate.
