The Chubbsafes 3
1/2" Standard Quality fire and burglar resistant strongroom door is
specially designed and constructed to make it resistant to high speed
drills, force, explosives and fire to penetrate.
Security is an ever increasing problem facing bankers and businessmen today, a problem which Chubb can help resolve with their 180 years of experience in the security engineering and research fields.
Today's criminal attacks on premises are becoming more sophisticated and the use of the most up to date technology more important.
Door A solid door slab of 3 1/2" (89mm) forms the basis of the door, which has an overall thickness of 8" (203mm). Rectangular in form, the door is a steel shell electrically welded to produce a structure of consistent strength filled with Chubb F 80 barrier material - special Chubb formulated steel fibre reinforced barrier material resistant to high speed drilling, oxyacetylene cuttings and jack attacks.
Locks are protected by glass relockers which activate 2 relocking mechanisms upon all kinds of attacks. These relockers are further protected by Chubb patented Torch and Drill Resistant (TDR ) materials, which are used widely in high quality safes and vault doors to serve as extra protection.
Active boltwork, 7 front bolts, 2 top, 2 bottom and 7 dead back bolts give high protection to the door. Each bolt has a diameter of 11/2" (38mm).
Controlled by two 4-wheel keyless combination locks, each capable of 100,000,000 change codes.
An emergency relocking device is incorporated in the locking mechanism to provide additional resistance should the lock be dislodged by explosives or by any other means.
The "wrapped around the wall" door frame is fabricated from steel sections electrically welded together to form a single structure. Vestibule side plates, at full height of the door, are attached to the frame and grip the inside edge of the wall.
