Chubb Lock & Safe has seen an increased demand for cabinets and safes equipped with inserts suitable for protecting computer software and offering an additional dimension in terms of storage.

Standard fire resistant cabinets and safes are designed to protect paper documents only and do not provide the protection required when storing computer back up tapes and disks. By installing one of the new Data Inserts you can turn your Chubbsafes, fire resistant security safe into a multipurpose cabinet to provide protection for all your valuable records.

These inserts can be used in all Chubbsafes fire resistant products tested and approved to NT 017 Fire rating and will protect computer media from excess heat, moisture and magnetic fields equal to your safes fire rating or up to sixty minutes. If your safe has a 45 minute fire rating you are protected for this time but if you have a Chubbsafes Europa Safe with a 90 minute rating your computer media is protected for sixty minutes.
