The
Chubb Rampart is a strong all round safe that was manufactured in four
different sizes although the most common model is the Size
1. The Chubb Rampart is designed to resist the force of explosives,
high speed drills and oxy-acetylene.
common models available second hand are the two smaller models. The Rampart is
usually fitted with a single 3 wheel combination lock although an additional
key lock is quite common.

Resists –
Oxy-acetylene, explosives, high speed drills and force.
Construction:
Door: The door obtains its strength from an enclosed, fully protected
slab of Chubb barrier material. This gives the door the capabilities to
protect against oxy-acetylene, drills and force.
Cylindrical sliding bolts extend from all four sides of the door and engage
into bolt cups formed in the safe body to ensure complete solidarity between
body and door.
Four way boltwork is an important feature in the resisting of an explosives
attack.
Jointless Body: The safe body obtains its strength from a one piece
monolith of Chubb barrier material.
With cohesion achieved between the safe door and body the result is in effect
a jointless cube.
Locking System: The standard locking system for all Rampart Safes is
one Keyless Combination Lock. It is common to find an additional key lock also
fitted to this model safe. Alternative locking options were available.
Automatic Relocking Devices: Emergency Relocking Devices are an
important component of the locking mechanism. Upon locking the safe these
devices are automatically on guard, providing an additional security feature
against all known forms of attack.
